In
1988, this five member family band left the comfort of their
living room where they played music for family and friends,
and went public. The band features the mother, Ollie Davis,
whose vocal talent ranges from the sweet sounds of Whitney
Houston, to the powerful vocal styling of Aretha Franklin
and Tina Turner. The father, Greg Davis, who has played the
Wisconsin music scene since the age of 13, and their three
sons, Andre', Aaron, and Artemas Davis, who add a youthful
flair with a touch of today's musical style to give the band
a sound and style unlike any other. The Davis Family Band
has become one of the hottest and most requested bands in
the Midwest. Opening for such noted artists as Chaka Kahn,
The Commodores, Morris Day and The Time, and Cameo. Their
appearances include Festivals, Fairs, Clubs, Resorts, Conventions,
Weddings, Parties and a host of other functions through out
the Country. It's clear to see why The Davis Family Band has
been nominated several times by (WAMI) Wisconsin Area Music
Industry, as one of the best in Contemporary Jazz and R&B.
